Children's Ministry Lesson for August 23

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:

• Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
• Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
• Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
• Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade

We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Jesus Chose Disciples
Story Point from Mark 2-3; Luke 6: Jesus showed his power by forgiving sin.
Family Bible Reading: Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Big Picture Question: What did Jesus teach when he was on earth?
Big Picture Answer: Jesus taught about God and His kingdom. He taught that all Scripture is about Him.

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)

• Jesus calls people to love Him, turn from sin, and trust and follow Him.  

Gospel Tykes (ages 3 - 5 years old) 

• Jesus still calls people to follow Him. He wants us to stop doing wrong things and trust in Him.

Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)

• Jesus chose the disciples and still calls people to follow Him today. He invites all people to turn from their sins and trust in Him as Lord and Savior.

Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)

• Jesus chose the disciples and still calls people to follow Him today. He invites all people to turn from their sins and trust in Him as Lord and Savior.
