Children's Ministry Lesson for February 22

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

The Walls Rebuilt

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The Walls Rebuilt
Story Point from Nehemiah 1-6: Even thought their enemies tried to stop them, God's people rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem.
Family Bible Reading: These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31
Big Picture Question: What is the Bible about?
Big Picture Answer: The Bible is the story of God’s plan to save people through Jesus.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • Like Nehemiah helped keep his friends safe, Jesus keeps us safe too. When we follow Jesus, He will give us life with God forever.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)
  • Like Nehemiah helped keep his friends safe, Jesus rescues us from sin and death. When we follow Jesus, He is with us and will give us life with God forever.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • God’s enemies tried to stop His people, but they still rebuilt the wall. God’s enemies tried to stop Jesus by killing Him, but God planned for Jesus’ death and resurrection to be the only way for people to be saved.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • God’s enemies tried to stop His people, but they still rebuilt the wall. God’s enemies tried to stop Jesus by killing Him, but God planned for Jesus’ death and resurrection to be the only way for people to be saved.
