Children's Ministry Lesson for March 8

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

The People Worshiped God

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The People Worshiped God
Story Point from Nehemiah 7-13: God's people confessed their sin and promised to faithfully obey Him.
Family Bible Reading: These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31
Big Picture Question: What is the Bible about?
Big Picture Answer: The Bible is the story of God’s plan to save people through Jesus.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • We all do wrong things. Only Jesus obeyed God perfectly, so we can trust Him to save us from our sin.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)
  • The people promised to obey God, but no one can obey all the time. We all do wrong things. Only Jesus obeyed God perfectly, so we can trust Him to help us when we sin.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • God’s people remembered all He had done, and they promised to be faithful. God is gracious and compassionate. All along, God has been faithful to people who are unfaithful. We experience God’s grace and compassion in Jesus, who gave His life so we can receive mercy and life forever.
