Children's Ministry Lesson for April 27

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Gideon Led Israel

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Gideon Led Israel
Story Point from Judges 6-7: Gideon learned that victory comes from God alone.
Family Bible Reading: [If] my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Big Picture Question: What is repentance?
Big Picture Answer:  Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • When we do wrong things, we need God’s help. God sent His Son, Jesus, to help us and to save us from our sins.
Gospel Tykes (ages 3 -5 years old)
  •  The Israelites needed Gideon to help them. We need help, too. We need God to save us from our sins. God sent His Son, Jesus, to help us and save us forever.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Gideon could have never won the battle without God’s power. Victory came from God alone. We cannot save ourselves from sin. Only Jesus can save us from our sin.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • Gideon could have never won the battle without God’s power. Victory came from God alone. We cannot save ourselves from sin. Only Jesus can save us from our sin.
