Children's Ministry Lesson for September 13

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:

• Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
• Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
• Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
• Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade

We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: John the Baptist in Prison
Story Point from Matthew 11, 14; Mark 6; Luke 3, 7: John was reminded that Jesus is the promised Messiah.
Family Bible Reading: You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12–13
Big Picture Question: What is prayer?
Big Picture Answer: Prayer is talking with God to praise Him, ask Him for help, and confess our sins.

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)

• When we believe in Jesus, we know what Jesus did and can tell others about Him. Jesus is the Messiah!

Gospel Tykes (ages 3 - 5 years old) 

• John learned that Jesus really is the Savior. We can tell others about Jesus too. Some people may not want to listen, but we keep sharing because Jesus is worth it. 

Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)

• When faced with suffering, John was reminded that Jesus is the Messiah who had come to bring the good news of salvation. Followers of Jesus will face troubles, but they have hope: Everyone who trusts in Jesus for salvation will live in His kingdom forever.

Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)

• When faced with suffering, John was reminded that Jesus is the Messiah who had come to bring the good news of salvation. Followers of Jesus will face troubles, but they have hope: Everyone who trusts in Jesus for salvation will live in His kingdom forever.
