Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

The Old Testament Points to Jesus

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The Old Testament Points to Jesus
Story Point from Luke 1; John 1: John was sent by God as a witness to the coming Messiah.
Family Bible Reading: These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31
Big Picture Question: What is the Bible about?
Big Picture Answer: The Bible is the story of God’s plan to save people through Jesus.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • John told people about Jesus, our Rescuer and King forever.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)  
  • John told people to get ready for Jesus, the Savior coming to be our Rescuer and King forever.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • God spoke through His prophets in the Old Testament, like Isaiah and Malachi, and shared His plan to send Jesus into the world to save people from sin. When the time had come, God called John to be a witness for Jesus. Anyone who trusts in Jesus will be saved.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • God spoke through His prophets in the Old Testament, like Isaiah and Malachi, and shared His plan to send Jesus into the world to save people from sin. When the time had come, God called John to be a witness for Jesus. Anyone who trusts in Jesus will be saved.
