Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old 
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old 
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade 
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

Freedom from the Philistines

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Freedom from the Philistines
Story Point from 1 Samuel 7: Samuel cried out to the Lord to save the Israelites.
Family Bible Reading: My God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Big Picture Question: How does God care for His creation?
Big Picture Answer:  God loves and rules over His creation according to His perfect plan.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • God sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again so that we can be forgiven. When we know and love Jesus, God forgives our sin.
Gospel Tykes (ages 3 -5 years old) 
  • God wants people to be sorry for their sin. Jesus came to die on the cross and rise again. When we know and love Jesus, God forgives our sin.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Samuel called the people to turn away from false gods and to worship God, and God gave them victory over their enemies. God calls us to turn away from sin and to trust in Jesus who gives us victory over our enemies of sin and death.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • Samuel called the people to turn away from false gods and to worship God, and God gave them victory over their enemies. God calls us to turn away from sin and to trust in Jesus who gives us victory over our enemies of sin and death.
