Children's Ministry Lesson for February 15

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Esther Saved Her People

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Esther Saved Her People
Story Point from Esther: Esther obeyed God, risked her life, and saved her people.
Family Bible Reading: On that day it will be said, “Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9
Big Picture Question: How did God plan to fix what sin broke?
Big Picture Answer: Before he created the world, God planned to send the Messiah.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • Like Esther helped her people, God sent Jesus to help us and rescue us from sin.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)
  • Like Esther helped her people, God sent Jesus to help us and rescue us from sin.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Even though Haman tried to hurt God’s people, God was in control and had a plan to save the Jews. Sin hurts us and breaks our relationship with God, but God had a plan from the very beginning to save us through Jesus’ death on the cross.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
