Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old 
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old 
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade 
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

Wisdom of God's People

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The Kingdom Divided
Story Point from 1 Kings 11-13:Rehoboam's Foolish Sin Divided the Kingdom.
Family Bible Reading: May all the peoples of the earth know that the Lord is God. There is no other! 1 Kings 8:60
Big Picture Question: How many gods are there?
Big Picture Answer: There is one true God who alone deserves worship.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • Jesus is our King who taught us to be kind and love others.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)  
  • Rehoboam made a bad choice, and the kingdom split into two groups. But Jesus, our good King, showed us how to be kind and love others. He gave His life for us.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Rehoboam rejected good advice, and his foolish pride led to a divided kingdom. Jesus, the truly wise King, unites all who trust in Him and brings them into His kingdom forever.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • Rehoboam rejected good advice, and his foolish pride led to a divided kingdom. Jesus, the truly wise King, unites all who trust in Him and brings them into His kingdom forever.
