Children's Ministry Lesson for May 25

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:

• Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old 
• Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old 
• Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
• Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade 

We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: The Ark Was Captured
Story Point from 1 Samuel 4-6: The Israelites misused the ark, but God still displayed His power.
Family Bible Reading: My God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Big Picture Question: How does God care for His creation?
Big Picture Answer:  God loves and rules over His creation according to His perfect plan.

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)

• God sent us His Son, Jesus, to remind us that God is always with us.

Gospel Tykes (ages 3 -5 years old) 

• The ark was special, but later God gave people something even better: His Son, Jesus. Jesus reminds us that God is always with us.

Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)

• God is holy and punished the Israelites and Philistines for misusing the ark. All people sin and deserve God’s judgment, but Jesus took that judgment when He died on the cross. All who trust in Jesus are forgiven of sin and saved from judgment.

Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)

• God is holy and punished the Israelites and Philistines for misusing the ark. All people sin and deserve God’s judgment, but Jesus took that judgment when He died on the cross. All who trust in Jesus are forgiven of sin and saved from judgment.
