Children's Ministry Lesson for May 18

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:

• Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old 
• Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old 
• Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
• Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade 

We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this week's lesson... 

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Samuel Was Born and Called
Story Point from 1 Samuel 1-3: Samuel responded to God's call.
Family Bible Reading: My God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Big Picture Question: How does God care for His creation?
Big Picture Answer:  God loves and rules over His creation according to His perfect plan.

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)

• When we listen to God and follow Jesus’ example, He will show us the right way to go.

Gospel Tykes (ages 3 -5 years old) 

• Like Samuel listened to God, we can listen to Jesus, who always shows us the right way to go.

Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)

• God called to Samuel, and Samuel responded. God calls people to turn from sin and follow Jesus. Everyone who responds by trusting in Jesus is saved from sin.

Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)

• God called to Samuel, and Samuel responded. God calls people to turn from sin and follow Jesus. Everyone who responds by trusting in Jesus is saved from sin.
