Children's Ministry Lesson for September 6

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Jesus' Sermon on the Mount

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: Jesus' Sermon on the Mount
Story Point from Matthew 5-7; Luke 6: Jesus taught how people in God's kingdom live.
Family Bible Reading: Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Big Picture Question: What did Jesus teach when he was on earth?
Big Picture Answer: Jesus taught about God and His kingdom. He taught that all Scripture is about Him.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • When we follow Jesus, He saves us from sin and shows us how to live.
Gospel Tykes (ages 3 - 5 years old)
  • Jesus taught people how to live God’s way. When we follow Jesus, He helps us live in a way that makes God happy.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Jesus taught how people in His kingdom have hearts that love God and love others. But because of sin, no one always does what is right and good. When we trust in Jesus, God forgives our sin and changes our hearts so we can live in ways that glorify Him.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • Jesus taught how people in His kingdom have hearts that love God and love others. But because of sin, no one always does what is right and good. When we trust in Jesus, God forgives our sin and changes our hearts so we can live in ways that glorify Him.
