Children's Ministry Lesson for March 12

Children's Ministry News

Don't forget, this Sunday is Daylight Savings!  Turn those clocks forward an hour!
For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events, all the while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Jesus Was Dedicated!

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about:  Jesus Was Dedicated!
Story Point: Throughout the Old Testament, God promised the arrival of a King who would redeem people. When Jesus arrived, Simeon and Anna knew He was the promised Messiah, God’s own Son. We can trust Jesus for our salvation, and like Simeon and Anna, we should share the good news.
Family Bible Reading: John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29
Big Picture Question:  What did Jesus do to save us?
Big Picture Answer:   Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose from the dead.
