Children's Ministry Lesson for September 11

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story; the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events, all the while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this weeks lesson...

Elijah Served as a Prophet

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about:  Elijah Served as a Prophet
Story Point: The one true God is not like the false gods. We do not have to work hard to show God we love Him. Instead, He showed His love for us by sending His Son, Jesus. Jesus died to rescue us from sin, and He hears us when we cry out to Him.
Family Bible Reading:  “Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5
Big Picture Question: What is idolatry?
Big Picture Answer:  Idolatry is a sin of the heart in which we love and value something else above God.
