We use Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story; the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events, all the while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this weeks lesson...

David Fought Goliath

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: David fought Goliath!
Story Point:  The Israelites were not strong enough to fight Goliath, the mighty Philistine warrior, on their own. God gave David power to defeat Goliath. David reminds us of Jesus, who came to save us from our greatest enemies: sin and death. Jesus, the ultimate hero, saves us from our sin and gives us eternal life.
Family Bible Reading: Ephesians 1:7
Big Picture Question: What is grace?
Big Picture Answer:  Grace is when God gives us something good even when we do not deserve it.
