Children's Ministry Lesson for May 15

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old (downstairs)
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old (upstairs)
  • Gospel Kids - grades K - 2nd
  • Gospel Students - grades 3rd - 5th
We are asking our parents, before dropping your child off in class, please wash your little ones hands.  Thank you!

We use Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story; the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events, all the while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this weeks lesson...

God Provided for Hannah

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: God Provided for Hannah
Story Point:  Hannah trusted God and sent Samuel away from home to serve God with his whole life. God sent Jesus from heaven to earth to be our Savior. Just as Samuel used God’s words to tell people about God, Jesus—the Word who became flesh—perfectly shows us what God is like.
Family Bible Reading:  Romans 6:23
Big Picture Question: What is the fair payment for sin?
Big Picture Answer:  The fair payment for sin is death.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • Jesus showed the world what God is like.
Gospel Tykes (ages 3 -5 years old)
  • Samuel told people what God is like and what He would do. Jesus, the Son of God, told people about God’s plan and showed the world what God is like.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Boaz was a family redeemer. He helped his close relatives. Boaz bought back what his relatives lost. Jesus is our Redeemer. He bought our salvation by dying on the cross for our sin.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • Hannah trusted God and sent Samuel away from home to serve God with his whole life. God sent Jesus from heaven to earth to be our Savior. Just as Samuel used God’s words to tell people about God, Jesus—the Word who became flesh—perfectly shows us what God is like.
