Children's Ministry Lesson for November 23

Children's Ministry News

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

God Promised a New Covenant

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: God Promised a New Covenant
Story Point from Jeremiah 17; 31: God promised his people a new covenant and forgiveness of sin forever.
Family Bible Reading: The LORD is good to everyone; his compassion rests on all he has made. Psalm 145:9
Big Picture Question: What is God like?
Big Picture Answer: God is holy, good, and loving.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • God made a new promise. When we trust in Jesus, we are part of this new promise forever.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)
  • The people couldn’t follow the old rules perfectly, so God made a new promise. When we trust in Jesus, we are part of this new promise, and God’s teachings stay in our hearts forever.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • Like God's people, we all have sinful hearts that do not obey God or love Him rightly. Through Jesus' death on the cross, God made a new covenant. Those who trust in Jesus have their sin forgiven and have the law written on their hearts.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
