Children's Ministry Lesson for November 5

Children's Ministry News

We have a wonderful opportunity at GLC to participate in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.  Samaritan's Purse is bringing shoebox gifts and the Good News of Jesus Christ to some of the most remote corners of the globe.  This is a wonderful opportunity to teach our children about giving and the love of Jesus!

There are shoeboxes and labels available to help get you started on packing your shoebox. If you'd like to participate, please bring your packed shoebox back to GLC on Sunday, November 12.

This is a church-wide event that all can participate in, even if you don't have children in the Children's Ministry!  There will be information and shoeboxes at the Child Check-in table.

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 3 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Jesus Was Put on Trial

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about:  Jesus Was Put on Trial
Story Point: Jesus was unfairly sentenced to die although He did no wrong. Jesus was the perfect substitute for us, dying on the cross for our sins and rising from the dead. Everyone who trusts in Jesus has forgiveness and life with God forever.
Family Bible Reading:  I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them say, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever! Revelation 5:13
Big Picture Question:  How is Jesus the perfect King?
Big Picture Answer:  Jesus perfectly rules over the universe as the King of kings.
