This Sunday, Pastor Tyler preached through Mark 8:1-10, helping us to see the many facets of Jesus' compassion.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Youth Lock-In, October 6, 8PM | RSVP

Join the youth (6-12th grade) of Gospel Life Church for an evening of games, movies, snacks, and fun! Drop off will begin at 8PM on Friday evening and pick-up will be at 7AM on Saturday (after we work together to put the church back in order). Youth should bring:

• 2-Liter Drink to share
• A snack to share
• Sleeping bag and pillow
• Toothbrush
• Comfy clothes
• Sweatshirt

Breakfast will be served at midnight, along with donuts and kolaches in the morning. The cost is $20, which includes a t-shirt and two meals.

Parents, we need you to sign up for a shift to ensure there are plenty of chaperones throughout the entire event. We could also use help picking up donuts/kolaches and coming in early at 6:30AM to help put the church back in order.

Foundations: How to Study the Bible, October 8, 5:30PM | RSVP

RSVP for our first Foundations class "How to Study the Bible!" We'll spend four weeks learning and practicing helpful methods to interpret and apply scripture so that we grow as Jesus's disciples. The class will use the book "Come and See" by Dr. Jonathan Pennington as a framework and will be a mixture of group discussion, teaching, and homework. Feel free to bring dinner. Childcare will be provided for up to 7th grade. This class is for anyone eighth grade or older. Cost is $20 per participant and cover the book and childcare for the entire class.

Membership Class, October 15, 1PM | RSVP

Our Membership Class is focused on the mission, values, and discipleship strategy at Gospel Life Church. The purpose of this class is to explore these elements of our local body and help you understand how they play out practically at Gospel Life Church.
Our goals for this class will be:

• To help you understand why the Great Commission is our mission.
• To inform you on how our values influence our mission.
• To help you understand our strategy for making disciples at Gospel Life Church.
  
  

At the end of this class, should you decide, you will be able to pursue Covenant Membership at Gospel Life Church – not only understanding what it means to be a Covenant Member, but helping you get equipped to operate as one.

Men's Retreat, November 3, 4PM | RSVP
Garner State Park, 234 Ranch to Market Rd 1050, Concan, TX

Join the men of Gospel Life for a weekend of growing in friendship and the gospel! We'll be camping at Garner State park together and our focus will be on learning to pray from Jesus.

All meals will be provided and if you don't have camping gear, don't worry we can help you borrow or find some! If you have a physical limitation making it difficult to sleep in a tent please let us know and we'll be happy to arrange accommodations for you!

We'll be arranging carpools leaving from the church building and other locations as needed.

Youth Gospel Community, Wednesdays, 6PM

Our Youth Gospel Community (6-12 grade) meets weekly from 6-8PM. During this time, kids get to grow in community with their peers, participate in various activities, and spend time in God's Word, understanding what it means for their lives. The Youth GC meets every Wednesday evening, except for the last Wednesday of the month. For more information, contact Bobby Duke & Victoria Zinkgraf.
