Children's Ministry Lesson for May 8

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:

• Gospel Tots - ages 1 & 2 Years Old (downstairs)
• Gospel Tykes - ages 3 & 4 Years Old (upstairs)
• Gospel Kids - ages 5 - 8 Years Old 
• Gospel Students - ages 9 - 11 Years Old

We are asking our parents, before dropping your child off in class, please wash your little ones hands.  Thank you!

We use Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story; the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events, all the while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

And now for this weeks lesson... 

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: God Provided for Ruth
Story Point:  Boaz was a family redeemer. He helped his close relatives who were in trouble. Boaz cared for Ruth and Naomi because their husbands had died. In a similar way, Jesus is our Redeemer. We need help because we sin. Jesus bought our salvation for us by taking our punishment when He died on the cross.

Big Picture Question: What is the fair payment for sin?
Big Picture Answer:  The fair payment for sin is death.
