Children's Ministry Lesson for November 28

Children's Ministry News

Thank you to everyone who gave a shoebox of toys and goodies to Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child!  As a church family, we gave 30 shoeboxes!  Once shoeboxes are processed by late December or early January, you can check country destinations here if you donated through Follow Your Box and attached the bar code label to your shoeboxes.  We are very grateful to participate in this even and be the hands and feet of Jesus!
Family Advent Guide from LifeWay Kids - we are offering an Advent Guide from Lifeway Kids this Christmas.  Each weekly devotion is designed to lead your family to open their Bibles, discuss the Bible passage, pray together, and create special memories that strengthen your hope, joy, love, and peace with God and with others.  Use these devotions, activities, and worship songs to help your family worship Jesus this Christmas.  We have copies of the Advent Guide on our Children's Ministry table located in the back of the sanctuary.  Please take only one per family.
This Sunday is Family Sunday!  All children will remain in service with their parents.  There will be activity sheets available in the back of the sanctuary that coincide with today's lesson, God Controls Everything!

And now for this weeks lesson...

God Controls Everything

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: God Controls Everything!
Story Point: Job learned that God is all-powerful, sovereign, and good. When we face suffering, we can hope in God. God sent Jesus, the only truly innocent One, to suffer and die so that everyone who trusts in Him can have forgiveness and eternal life.
Family Bible Reading: Psalm 135:5
Big Picture Question: Who is in control of everything?
Big Picture Answer:  God is in control of everything in heaven and on earth. Nothing is outside of God’s good plan.

Gospel Students (ages 9-11)
  • The story of Job reminds us of Jesus. Jesus is the only person who never sinned, but He suffered to take the punishment for our sin. Jesus comforts us when we suffer, and we can trust Him.
