Children's Ministry Lesson for November 7

Children's Ministry News

We have a wonderful opportunity at GLC to participate in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.  Samaritan's Purse is bringing shoebox gifts and the Good New of Jesus Christ to some of the most remote corners of the globe.  This is a wonderful opportunity to teach our children about giving and the love of Jesus!

During all classes on Sunday, November 7, we will handing out "Shoebox Label Flyers" to help get you started on packing your shoebox.  If you'd like to participate, please bring your packed shoebox back to GLC on Sunday, November, 21.

This is a church wide event that all can participate in, even if you don't have children in the Children's Ministry!  There will be information on the back table in the sanctuary.

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1-3
  • Gospel Tykes/Kids - ages 4-8 Please bring water for your child labeled with their name.
  • Gospel Students - ages 9-11 or 3rd-5th grade
THIS IS IMPORTANT:  Please don't forget to get your children from class once service is dismissed.

We use Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story; the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events, all the while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

God Provided Isaac

This upcoming Sunday your child will learn about: God Provided Isaac!
Story Point: Abraham showed his love for God by being willing to sacrifice his son Isaac. God provided a ram instead. This is how God showed His love for us: He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross so that we could have eternal life through Him.
Family Bible Reading: Psalm 135:5
Big Picture Question: Who is in control of everything?
Big Picture Answer:  God is in control of everything in heaven and on earth. Nothing is outside of God’s good plan.
