What is Church Plant Sunday?
This Sunday, March 23rd, Gospel Life Church will host another “Church Plant Sunday.” The original “Church Plant Sunday” was an organization-wide fundraising event held by the Acts 29 Network in May of 2013 with a focus on raising resources and awareness for church planting efforts within and through the Acts 29 Network. Throughout that time, churches participating in the effort preached a sermon on the biblical basis for church planting and took up a special offering that would support church planting efforts. Each church, at its own discretion, was encouraged to use the funds to support the Acts 29 Network directly or split the contribution between the Acts 29 Network and the church’s own local or regional church planting efforts.
In hosting another “Church Plant Sunday”, we see this as a great way to again turn our attention to church planting efforts and actively support the Acts 29 Network. We hope you’ll participate in this event with Gospel Life Church as we partner with the Acts 29 Network to see churches planted for the glory of God.
What is the Acts 29 Network?
“The Acts 29 Network is a network of churches that plant churches that plant churches that plant churches all around the world. We want to continue the good work that is seen in the first 28 chapters of Acts, pushing back what is dark in the world, and heralding the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ by establishing more communities of faith (churches). Some of the unique features of Acts 29 include our diversity ethnically, culturally, and denominationally. We invite both existing churches and men desiring to plant churches to consider joining our Network.” – via The Acts 29 Network
